Virtual Reality Lab Trip

Writer's picture: Humanities Innovation LabHumanities Innovation Lab

Our lab recently explored the Horizon of Khufu, a VR experience that transports users inside the Great Pyramid of Giza. This immersive journey allowed us to navigate the pyramid’s inner chambers and witness its original grandeur, all based on cutting-edge archaeological data.

The experience highlighted VR’s potential in historical research, making ancient sites accessible and engaging. It sparked discussions on how immersive technology can revolutionize education, museum exhibitions, and cultural heritage preservation. Our trip reinforced the power of VR in bridging the past and future, inspiring new ways to integrate digital tools into humanities research.
