We are excited to announce that the lab has published a new article titled “Scarlet Cloak and the Forest Adventure: A Preliminary Study of the Impact of AI on Commonly Used Writing Tools”.

This paper explores the increasing complexity of detecting and distinguishing generative AI from other AI-assisted writing tools. Our research was initially sparked by the observation that AI detection software was flagging tools like Grammarly, raising questions about how various writing aids influence human-generated texts.

We invite you to read the full paper in the International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education and join the ongoing conversation about the role of AI in academic writing.
